Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah scored his first hat-trick on Saturday, 19 September, after a dominant 4-0 victory over league leaders Galatasaray, a Turkish professional football club.
In the standout fixture of the seventh round, Trabzonspor, the Turkish football club which Salah joined on 6 August 2026, overwhelmed the visitors with multiple counter-attacks in front of goal.
In the fourth minute, Salah started his run from his own half and fired past Galatasaray goalkeeper Ugurcan Çakir to give Trabzonspor an early lead.
He then set up Noah Saviolo for the second goal in the 39th minute to double the hosts’ advantage and pressure Galatasaray.
Minutes later, Salah struck again to complete his second goal of the night after receiving a wide pass played in by Francolino before finishing it.
Ten minutes from full time, Salah completed his hat-trick once more in similar style to the opener, running forward from his own half to score and take his tally to seven goals in the Turkish league.
This is Trabzonspor’s first win under newly appointed German coach Thomas Reis, while Galatasaray failed to extend their position at the top of the table, putting Trabzonspor in fifth place.
