Cairo will host the entrepreneurial big event RiseUp Summit, a hub for around 5,000 local and international visitors including startups, big investors, experts and business mentors, from December 9 -11, the event’s organizers said in a press conference.
The summit, being held for the fourth year in Cairo, is aiming at boosting the Egyptian entrepreneurial ecosystem through being a link between local startups and their counterparts from all over the world.
From a macro perspective, Abdelhameed Sharara, co-founder and CEO of RiseUp, said that the fast-growing startups are the best tool to develop and improve the current economic situation in the country.
This year, the summit will focus on technology as a key catalyst for many technology-based platforms and innovative services. In that vein, the event will put all of the hosted events into four main tracks: Fintech, Cleantech, Creative economy, and Science and Technological innovation.
Con O’Donnel, COO of RiseUp said, “This year, we are getting to know each person, who they are, what they need, and what they are looking for at the summit, so that we can match them up with as many resources as possible to help them benefit the most from the three-day summit. Tailoring experiences will maximize the opportunities to learn for every entrepreneur, startup, student, investor, and general attendee.”
