Three explosions have stricken a bus transporting the Borussia Dortmund football team to their home Champions League quarter-final match against Monaco on Tuesday.
Spain international Marc Bartra was taken to hospital with an injury to his hand, and later discharged, according to BBC. The bus’s windows were broken and tyres burst in the blasts.
The club said in a tweet that the other players were safe.
A statement on the North Rhine-Westphalia Dortmund police Twitter site said that the first indications were that this was an “attack with serious explosives”.
The stadium was evacuated, and the match postponed to Wednesday.
