Two people were killed on Thursday night after a number of gunmen opened fire on a security personnel in Egypt's Luxor governorate. According to state-media Al-Ahram, the security checkpoint in the town Esna was attacked when police attempted to stop a car for a security check. Luxor's Security Directorate later announced that one of the assailants had been arrested and the vehicle used in the attack had been found.
