Um Kulthum, daughter of the Nobel Laureate Naguib Mahfouz, announced that 18 unpublished short stories written by the author in the 1990's will be released soon, as reported by Al Ahram. The short stories were discovered by culture journalist Mohamed Shoair, who was in the middle of writing his book which chronicles the controversy around Mahfouz's novel 'Awlad Haretna (Children of Gebelawy)'.
