After Egyptian champions Rehab Ahmed and Sherif Osman won gold at the Mexico City 2017 World Para Powerlifting Championships, Egyptian athlete Randa Tag el-Din won the women + 86 kg competition securing the third gold medal to Egypt. Tag el-Din achieved the gold medal after a 138-kg-lift.
