EgyptAir announced on Wednesday, 26 August, a global partnership with Spain’s football club (FC) Barcelona for three seasons, extending through the 2028-29 season. Under the terms of the deal, EgyptAir will become a global partner of the Catalan club, becoming the official airline partner for Barcelona’s men’s soccer team as well as its basketball and handball squads. Handball players will wear the EgyptAir logo on the front of their jerseys during matches, and the airline will receive additional marketing benefits as part of the partnership. The club said the agreement reflects EgyptAir’s strategy to grow its fleet and expand its international route network to improve its services. According to the club, the deal offers a chance to widen the global reach of its brand, tap into new markets and strengthen its international standing.
