At least one person has been killed and four injured after a Saturday morning explosion severely damaged the Italian Consulate in Cairo.
Photographs from outside the Consulate show extensive damage. However, the Consulate was closed at the time for the weekend.
Initial investigations have stated that a car bomb was the cause of the explosion, reported Al-Ahram.
Meanwhile, Al-Ahram reports that the offices of one political party, the Independent Party, was also severely damaged.
Ahmed Al-Fadaly, an advisor at the party, says the car bomb injured three of his bodyguards after it exploded seconds before his vehicle passed the consulate, reported Al-Ahram.
It remains unclear whether the Italian Consulate was the intended target of this explosion. Earlier this month, Egypt’s Prosecutor-General Hisham Barakat was killed when an explosion targeted his convoy in Cairo.

Guess this is what ISIL meant by “conquering Rome.” What a bunch of f**king animales.
They are NOT alone while executing these terror attacks. This link exposes more detail as to who and from where the ISIS “brand” stems from.
