Egyptian Women Deliver Meals on Bicycles to Underprivileged Families

 

Despite the city’s infamous traffic jams that are notorious for wasting fuel and time, few people – particularly women – are seen using bicycles as a mode of transportation around Cairo.

In an attempt to normalize women cycling in the streets, one woman founded BelBicycle to empower women while also squeezing in some community service during the holy month of Ramadan.
