Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi has issued the second presidential pardon for 203 detained youth on Monday.
The pardoned prisoners are mainly students; only few cases with critical health conditions have been pardoned. The 203 prisoners were serving final sentences in protest related cases and others regarding freedom of expression.
Meanwhile, activists Alaa Abdel Fattah and Ahmed Doma, among many others, remain in prison.
Gamila Sarey El Din is one of the names listed on the presidential pardon list who has completed her imprisonment period and has six days left to her release.
The list of names has been recommended by The Detained Youth Committee that has been established during The National Youth Conference held in October 2016.
Officials say that priority is given to students, women, girls and individuals who suffer from critical health conditions.
