In a new milestone for the talented Egyptian player, Mohamed Salah has earned the prestigious Premier League Golden Boot on Sunday.

The award followed Salah’s scoring a four to zero win for Liverpool over Brighton which led him the breaking record for most goals scored in a 38-game season.

The Egyptian King pipped 2 year-Boot guardian, Harry Kane, to the title with 32 goals.

“To be honest this one is very special: the Golden Boot. But as you know and as I said before many times it’s always in my mind to help the team to win the games…I’m very proud,” Salah said to Sky Sports. “I will do my best to win the Golden Boot again, 100 percent.”

Egypt’s beloved player also expressed that he would do his best to secure the title in the next season.

Salah’s Golden Boot award means that he is currently the top scoring foreigner in a single Premiere League season, namely his debut. Salah has overtaken famed Cristiano Ronaldo who accomplished the same feat in 2007-2008.

The 25 year old’s feats have blessed him with various awards. Just this week he received EA Sports Player of the Season award, Football Writers’ Association Player of the Year and the PFA Players’ Player of the Year.

He was named African Footballer of the Year 2017 and was already nominated in January for the 2018 title.
