In what can only be described as the most unpredictable win on the current war on drugs, police officers in Ismailia reported that an unattended truck parked outside of a police station was carrying 95 bags of sealed cement bags filled with drugs.

Youm7 reported that, on Sunday morning, police officials in El-Qantara, a northeastern Egyptian city located in Ismalia, were bewildered when they discovered a completely unattended truck abandoned directly in front of the station. The abandoned truck was stacked with cement bags and upon opening the cement bags, officials unearthed cannabis stashed inside the cement bags.

As the police examined the deserted bags, they discovered two large rolls of ‘Bango,’ which is the current Egyptian street-term for cannabis, hidden inside the 95 bags of cement.

‘Bango’ is also known to be the most frequently used drug in both Egypt and the Middle East.

A preliminary investigation was conducted on the truck and later announced that the vehicle is owned by a 51-year-old housewife who did not report the truck as stolen; therefore clarifications on whether or not the vehicle was stolen remains unclear.

It has been reported that the truck and the cannabis have been confiscated by police until further investigation on the matter continues.
