Saudi Arabia’s defeat indicates that Egypt has no chance of qualifying for the next round of the World Cup, even if it defeats Saudi Arabia on Monday 25th of June.

Uruguay’s latest victory means that Uruguay and Russia will qualify for the next round, with both teams having six points each.

In Egypt’s first two matches, Egypt lost 1-0 and 3-1 to Uruguay and Russia respectively. Egypt’s appearance at the World Cup in Russia marks the first time the Pharaohs have played at the World Cup in 28 years, with a penalty goal by Mohamed Salah leaving the Pharaohs 1-3 to Russia.
