In a groundbreaking initiative, The Sex Talk Arabic has published a comprehensive guide on Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), tailored specifically for Arabic-speaking communities. The Sex Talk Arabic is an intersectional feminist platform tackling issues of sexual violence in Arabic-speaking societies, launched in 2018. In a bid to provide more inclusive and accessible content, this guide aims to break the stigma surrounding HIV and provide accessible information that reflects the lived experiences of individuals affected by the virus. Bridging the Information Gap HIV is a virus that attacks cells that help the body fight infection, making a person more vulnerable to other infections and diseases. The virus spreads by contact with certain bodily fluids of a person with HIV, most commonly during unprotected sex, or through sharing injection drug equipment.
