Arab designers had left quite the mark, dressing some of the night’s most high-profile stars in creations that married tradition with contemporary elegance. Palestinian filmmaker, Basel Adra, co-director of the award-winning documentary, No Other Land (2024), embodied a blend of art and activism through his brand. Adra wore trainers from Resolute RGL, a brand he co-founded, featuring intricate embroidery by Palestine’s Women’s Weaving Cooperative, a group that empowers women artisans by preserving traditional weaving techniques and providing economic opportunities. Ashi then became the first designer from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) to be invited to the prestigious Federation de la Haute Couture.
