International football star Mohamed Salah was named the ‘Best Arab Player in 2016’ at the Globe Soccer Awards.
In a post on Facebook, Salah expressed his gratitude to his supporters after being awarded the title.
“I’m very proud to be the recipient of the award for Best Arab Player 2016, and would like to extend my gratitude to all those who have supported me and continue to do so,” said Salah on Facebook.
The 24-year-old Egyptians managed to score 18 goals for A.S. Roma in 2016, with the club finishing third in the Italian Serie A.
Salah also played for the national team in 2016 and scored five goals in the qualifiers of the 2017 African Cup of Nations which will be held in Gabon.
