Egyptian National Team ‘Pharaohs’ Arrives in Russia for World Cup

Egypt’s national football team has arrived at Chechnya, where the team’s base is, on Sunday.

Fresh out of the national carrier jet adorned in red, white and black in accordance Egypt’s flag, the squad was treated to a ‘legzinka’ traditionnal dance by the locals.

The squad arrived in Russia sharply dressed, and among them, was the famed and smiling Mohamed Salah who seemed in good health.

The Pharaohs will be staying at the ‘Local Hotel’ in Grozny, according to Reuters.

Egypt will be facing Uruguay in its first match on Friday in Ekaterinburg.

Recent focus has been on Salah, who suffered a shoulder injury during the Champions League final at the hands of Sergio Ramos. However, and contrary to previous reports that the player would miss the World cup in its entirety, Salah has been in seemingly better health and might be available to play in the first matches.

The winger travelled to Spain to receive treatment for his shoulder injury.
