Many people travel across Egypt and the world, but it takes an ardent traveler to realize that every step along the way counts, and not just the final destination. En route to Ain El-Sokhna, a town which overlooks the western shores of the Red Sea’s Gulf of Suez, two young Egyptian men pulled up at the side of the road and jumped head-first into the sea, only to find themselves surrounded by a pod of bottlenose dolphins. The Red Sea is one of the famous natural habitats for the Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops aduncus), which are most commonly spotted near Marsa Alam in Upper Egypt and towards the northern parts of the Red Sea towards Hurghada.
