British Tourists in Egypt Reassure the World That ‘Sharm is Safe’

British Tourists in Egypt Reassure the World That ‘Sharm is Safe’

In the midst of the media whirlwind surrounding security in Egypt following the crash of a Russian plane over North Sinai, tourists who are still in Sharm El Sheikh continue to enjoy the resort.

Karim Nabil Massaad, the managing director of real estate agency BuySellRent Sharm, made a short film in an attempt to counter the negative attention Sharm El Sheikh and Egypt have been receiving over the past several weeks.

The video shows several British tourists and Russian flight attendants addressing fears over security in Sharm El Sheikh, saying there is nothing to worry about.

“Don’t believe everything you see on the news; I’d love to be ‘stranded’ here forever,” one British tourist said, wearing light clothing on a bright sunny day.

“It’s a beautiful country, beautiful people, everybody’s friendly…and Sharm is safe,” another tourist said, standing on a balcony against the backdrop of the Red Sea.

As the video continues making the rounds on social networking sites, nearly 80,000 Russian tourists remain in Egypt and will not be evacuated, while British tourists who have yet to return to the United Kingdom are maximizing on the time they have left in Egypt.
