Pittsburgh Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams along with nine other members of America’s National Football League (NFL) visited the Children’s Cancer Hospital 57357 as part of their trip to Egypt with the American Football Without Barriers organization. During the visit, American football quarterback Colby Cameron said he was impressed at how much love the children received at the hospital. Meanwhile, Williams told the Tribune-Review that his spirits were lifted when he heard he would be visiting a children’s cancer hospital. According to the Tribune Review, the football players met with patients and handed out gifts. “Just to help someone in another country is amazing,” told the Tribune-Review. Williams and others such as Marshawn Lynch are in Egypt to boost knowledge of the game in Egypt, where soccer is the most popular sport. AFWB aims to help encourage healthy living and fitness while also improving access to education among the underprivileged across the globe.
