Uganda takes the lead toward the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers scoring 1 -0 against Egypt in the match held on Thursday.
The win puts Uganda on top of Group E with 7 points while Egypt slips to 2nd spot with 6 points.
Emmanuel Okwi’s scored the decisive goal six minutes after half time to hand the Cranes an important win in the race to Russia 2018.
It is a first win for Uganda over Egypt since 1965.
Egypt to host Uganda on Tuesday at Alexandria’s Borg El-Arab Stadium before facing Congo, also at home, in October.
