The United States of America, Canada, and Mexico have been announced as the hosts of the 2026 FIFA World Cup after receiving 134 votes compared to 65 for Morocco.

The three countries had submitted a joint bid under the ‘United 2026’ banner to host the 2026 tournament. The victory for the joint bid was announced at the 68th FIFA Congress in Moscow, just one day before the 2018 World Cup kicks off.

According to the United 2026 bid, there will be 16 host cities, with 10 in the United States and three each in Canada and Mexico. The final game will be played at the MetLife Stadium in New York City.

Both the United States (1994) and Mexico (1970, 1986) previously hosted the World Cup.
