It is not in your romantic interest to work in the Trump administration. According to a new politico feature, young Trump administrative staffers are having a hard time finding dates in Washington DC, one of the most democratic cities in all of America.
Former and current staff employees are complaining that they are often being chastised immediately and being rejected by potential dates online after someone asks them where they work or who they voted for.
A 31-year-old-female administration official told Politico that the conversations are usually going well until someone asks “Suddenly they ask ‘You didn’t vote for Trump, right?'” “As soon as I say, ‘Of course I did,’ it just devolves into all-caps ‘HOW COULD YOU BE SUCH A RACIST AND A BIGOT?’ And ‘You’re going to take away your own birth control.'”
One match on an online dating app told one administration official, “Thanks but no thanks. Just Googled you and it said you were a mouthpiece for the Trump administration. Go f**** yourself.”
Former Trump staffers are also complaining that even after leaving their former jobs, they are still put on a social blacklist. Young staffers have decided to look inwards and only date exclusively within the administration.
