The largest gas deposit in the Mediterranean, Egypt’s Zohr natural gas field, has started production on Saturday bringing the country closer to its goal of energy self-sufficiency. Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Tariq al-Molla said in a statement on Saturday that the gas field is set to produce an initial 350 million cubic feet per day.
