Egyptian Wins Gold Medal in the 2017 Para Powerlifting World Cup

Egyptian Taha Adel received the gold medal for his 160 KG lift in the 2017 Para Powerlifting World Cup.

The win was in the up to 54 KG category.

The second World Paralympics Powerlifting Cup is taking place on May 4 till 7 in Eger, Hungary. It is the penultimate major event before the Mexico 2017 World Paralympics Powerlifting Championships.

Egypt has competed at the Rio 2016 Summer Paralympics finishing second all time for total medals. Egypt won a total of 143 medals: 45 gold, 43 silver and 55 bronze. Two of the medals won by Egyptians were in powerlifting.
