With consecutive reports suggesting that Egypt’s tourism sector is, not only witnessing a boom but also recovering from a stagnation, here is a closer look at Savoy Hotels and Resorts, one of Egypt’s most luxurious hotels located in the city of Sharm el-Sheikh.

Lit with thousands of Christmas lights, the event unleashed in the presence of the Governor of South Sinai Khaled Fouda with the Ukranian singer Max Barskih, who led a lively concert.
Thousands of attendees danced, sang over the music of the Boghdady Jazz Band who inaugurated the celebrations on November 17. Followed by the countdown, attendees started their celebrations in festive spirit that took over SOHO square in Sharm el-Sheikh.
“The is way better than the stress of Cairo,” one attendee commented when asked about his impressions. “I feel like this is a mood changer and I can actually enjoy my time,” he told Egyptian Streets.
“What else can I ask for!” said a vendor who works at a Souvenir shop. “Everyone is happy; I am selling my products and I enjoying this beautiful time of the year,” he added.
The ‘Big Switch on 2017’ was led by Ukrainian singer, Max Barskih, who has arrived in Egypt as part of the international tour ‘the Fog’. He led the concert, following the countdown, and sand his top hits among other songs.
This is one of the most anticipated events in Sharm el-Sheikh where people from all over the world join the events.

According to the Central Agency for Public Mobilization (CAPMAS), there has been an increase in the number of tourists arriving in Egypt during the third quarter of the year 2017. There has been about a 55 percent increase in comparison to last year’s figures.
More than 2.3 million tourists visited Egypt, in the surveyed period, while only 1.5 million are recorded to have visited Egypt last year.
