Egypt Wins Silver, Qualifies for the 2019 World Men’s Handball Championship

Egypt has won silver at the African Men’s Handball Championship which took place in Gabon from 17 to 27 January and has qualified for the 2019 World Men’s Handball Championship to be held in Denmark and Germany.

At the final, Tunisia won gold and Egypt won silver after Tunisia beat Egypt by 26-24. Angola won the bronze medal after a match against Morocco which end 29-26. Tunisia, Egypt, and Angola qualified to the 2019 World Men’s Handball Championship.

Moving to the Asian continent, the Asian Men’s Handball Championship took place from 18 to 28 January in South Korea. Qatar won gold and Bahrain won silver after the first beat the second by 33-31 in the final.

South Korea won bronze as it defeated Saudi Arabia by 29-21 in the match played to determine the winner of the bronze medal.

Qatar, Bahrain, South Korea and Saudi Arabia qualified to the 2019 World Men’s Handball Championship.

As for Europe, Germany and Denmark qualified to the 2019 World Men’s Handball Championship, as they are the host countries. France also qualified for being the 2017 World Champion.

Spain qualified to the 2019 World Championship after it won against Sweden by 29-23 at the final of the European Men’s Handball Championship which was held in Croatia from 12 to 28 January.
