Afghanistan is often portrayed as a war-torn country which only knows destruction, poverty and human rights abuses.
Yet, in an effort to break the stereotype surrounding Afghanistan and its people, Humans of Kabul, inspired by Humans of New York, created an eye-opening short video. The video took two years to make and was filmed in multiple provinces of Afghanistan.
According to the video’s creators, the video is intended to “open a window into the lives of the beautiful people of Kabul, for those who will never make it here themselves.”

Oh my God, what is this, why do we have to have this anglo-saxon music….At the beginning, u just wonder why a video supposed to “de-portray” Afghanistan as just a ‘war-torn country’, etc has to be accompanied by this music (totally irrelevant, stupidly emotional…) and in the end it makes on wonder who financed this video, who is Egyptian Streets, and so on… Ah! ah!ah! Us soft power. And I am european. OMG, and the comment made an hour ago ! U mean… Afghans are human too ??!! Gracious God !
