Cairo – March, 2017 : Nafham, the leading online education video platform in the Middle East and Trend Micro, the global leader in cyber-security solutions, announced their collaboration on a new online video competition named “What’s Your Story?.”

“What’s Your Story?” aims to promote safe and effective Internet practices among society and the youth. The contest also aims to encourage community members to get involved and share their experiences to raise awareness about online safety, a cause that is deeply embedded in Nafham’s strategy of sharing, knowledge transfer, and using digital tools in education. Individuals are invited to participate in the competition by submitting an original 2-5 minutes video that demonstrates different ways to protect information and privacy while using the internet.

As an incentive to contest participants, Nafham and Trend Micro will be giving the “What’s Your Story?” winners a chance to win gadgets, electronics, and other cool prizes worth up to EGP 40,000 in addition to the Trend Micro Maximum Security Package for all contributors.

“At Nafham, we firmly believe that engaging young and curious minds is the most creative and effective approach to a better understanding.” shares Mostafa Farahat, Nafham CEO and co-founder. “The partnership with Trend Micro hopes to raise internet security and safety awareness and to create a strong understanding among Nafham community and inspire them to maximize the use of the internet in their daily lives without being afraid of risking their privacy or getting involved in any kind of fraud activities.”

Ihab Moawad, Vice President of Trend Micro for Middle East and Africa adds, “The internet is a boon for individuals of all ages as it keeps them connected and informed, especially for students, who depend on online information and interact with their peers on social media. But how much information one should share online is a persisting issue. Working with Nafham, we are keen to highlight the persistent dangers in today’s digital universe. We hope to establish safe digital practices, educate, and empower these different audiences.”
