Two people were killed and several injured after unidentified assailants attacked a youth centre in the neighbourhood of Kerdasa in Giza, reported Thomson Reuters’ Aswat Masriya.
The Nahia Youth Centre was burnt to the ground after an unknown number of assailants attacked it with Molotov cocktails.
Magdy al-Shalaqani, director of the civil protection administration in Giza, told Aswat Masriya that explosive experts did not recover any explosives from the scene.
The latest incident comes a month after Paula Mansour Fawzi, 18, was burned alive while working at Kentucky Fried Chicken following an attack by unknown individuals.
The KFC was attacked by the assailants who fired live ammunition at the store before setting it on fire.
Paula left behind his sister and two parents. According to his mother, the young man graduated from high school recently and had been working at KFC to help with family expenses, including treatment for his father who is suffering from kidney failure.
Egypt has recently witnessed a spate of attacks targeting civilian hotspots, including banks, telecommunication stores, supermarkets, fast-food chains and more.
