Egypt has arranged the safe passage of 15 Egyptian sailors stranded in Ukraine into neighbouring Moldova on Monday, 12 October, where they are awaiting the earliest available flight back to Egypt. Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty directed the ministry’s Consular Affairs Sector and Egypt’s embassies in Ukraine and Romania to expedite the sailors’ return.
