Liverpool FC officially announced Thursday that it has completed a £39 million, five-year signing of Egyptian football player Mohamed Salah. The player, who represents Egypt nationally, is due to wear Liverpool’s number 11 jersey in Anfield next season. The English football club has paid over £4 million pounds more for Salah than their previous most expensive player, Andy Carroll, for £35 million. The fee could still rise to £43.9 million with the additional of certain clauses. During an interview with Liverpoolfc.com, Salah stated: “I’m very excited to be here. I’m very happy. I will give 100% and give everything for the club. I really want to win something for this club. “We have a great team and very good players. I was watching the games last year and everyone was giving 100% to win something. Everyone can see the coach gives everything.
